Our Mission
Concerted Works, Inc. (CW) is a 501 (c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization that was created as an affiliate for American Federation of Musicians Local 380-443.
Concerted Works, Inc. is the vigorous fundraising arm for AFM Local 380-443: it must support Local 380-443 Charles W. England Scholarships, Professional Development, Education/Outreach activities, and Local 380-443 Member Relief. It must collaborate with Local 380-443 to implement and manage the Local’s education and outreach activities.
The mission of CW is to enhance the public’s recognition and appreciation of the musical arts, in all its forms as a human endeavor and cultural expression, by presenting live-performances integrated with public discussion groups, forums, panel, lectures or other similar programs in community venues or broadcast via the internet, radio, television, or other means of technology not yet known or hereinafter developed or discovered.
CW’s mission is also to provide opportunities to come
together to enjoy music-making by and alongside our region’s professional musicians to foster the principle that communities who join together with the immediate goal of uplifting up the community are liftng up our humanity. Thus, practicing “being good to each other.”
