Our Mission

Concerted Works, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting musicians at every stage of their careers, while enriching the communities it serves. Through scholarships, professional development, education, outreach, and community-centered performances, Concerted Works strives to deepen public appreciation of the musical arts and expand access to meaningful opportunities.

Concerted Works is the fundraising arm and charitable partner for the United Musicians of the Twin Tiers & Central NY State / AFM Local 380-443 (United Musicians) — the same organization serving professional musicians throughout the region. While Local 380-443 focuses on collective bargaining, contracts, and member representation, Concerted Works advances this shared mission through public-facing programs, educational initiatives, and charitable support.

By presenting live music alongside discussions, panels, and educational programming in community venues and online, Concerted Works fosters connection, creativity, and understanding. Communities that come together with the shared goal of uplifting one another, also uplift our collective humanity — practicing the belief in “being good to each other.”

Concerted Works programs are open to the public and supported by members, donors, and community partners.
